About Website Status Checking

This tool checks if a website is accessible by making a request to the server and measuring the response time.

What we check:

  • HTTP Status Code: The response code from the server (200 = OK, 404 = Not Found, etc.)
  • Response Time: How long it takes for the server to respond
  • Content Length: Size of the response (if available)
  • SSL Certificate: Whether the site uses HTTPS and has a valid certificate

Common HTTP Status Codes:

  • 200 OK: The request succeeded
  • 301/302: The URL has moved (redirect)
  • 403 Forbidden: Access denied
  • 404 Not Found: Page doesn't exist
  • 500 Server Error: Problem with the server
  • Timeout: Server didn't respond in time

Note: This checks from your current location. For global monitoring, consider specialized services.
