About Website Status Checking
This tool checks if a website is accessible by making a request to the server and measuring the response time.
What we check:
- HTTP Status Code: The response code from the server (200 = OK, 404 = Not Found, etc.)
- Response Time: How long it takes for the server to respond
- Content Length: Size of the response (if available)
- SSL Certificate: Whether the site uses HTTPS and has a valid certificate
Common HTTP Status Codes:
- 200 OK: The request succeeded
- 301/302: The URL has moved (redirect)
- 403 Forbidden: Access denied
- 404 Not Found: Page doesn't exist
- 500 Server Error: Problem with the server
- Timeout: Server didn't respond in time
Note: This checks from your current location. For global monitoring, consider specialized services.
